The Health
Information Research Unit (HIRU) for Wales is an initiative
developed by Swansea
University to realise the potential of anonymised routinely-collected
data for health research and evaluation. HIRU in collaboration with
the Centre for the Improvement of Population Health through E-health
Research (CIPHER) is hosting a prestigious 5-day training course on
the theory and practice of analysis of large sets of linked health and
social data at an intermediate to advanced level.
The course will be led by Professor Professor
David Preen who is the Director of the Centre for Health
Services Research at the University of Western Australia.
The course will also include a series of guest presentations by Professor
D’Arcy Holman who is a leading figure in the field
of linked health data.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?
This course is ideal for health and social care researchers, social scientists,
clinical practitioners and health care managers who wish to build on their
pre-existing theoretical knowledge and skills in the analysis of linked
health data.
